Charcia M. Nichols, Ed. D.
Executive Director
Ivy Preparatory Academy

I am writing to extend my sincere commendation for the exceptional work you and your team have accomplished in developing the strategic plan for Ivy Preparatory Academy. Your dedication, insight, and meticulous attention to detail have resulted in a comprehensive and forward-thinking strategy that will undoubtedly guide our school towards sustained growth and success.  Our school is truly different and your work spoke to the vision we knew we wanted for the scholars and the school community.

From the outset, your ability to analyze our state and identify areas for improvement demonstrated a profound understanding of our why and where we needed to be and how we needed to get there. Through several meetings, charter school trend research, STEM and Girl school data analysis you conducted, your team provided a solid foundation upon which to build our strategic initiatives.

Your innovative approach to addressing our challenges and capitalizing on new opportunities was particularly impressive. The inclusion of data from nationwide trends, our attendance zones and global data, which you identified as a critical area for us to consider, reflects your ability to think creatively and strategically. This initiative not only aligns with our school's vision but also positions us to remain competitive in an ever-evolving charter movement.

The Anchor School

Engaging 21Cobalt has been transformational for The Anchor School (TAS). At the beginning of our partnership in 2024, TAS faced substantial challenges in fiscal stability, operational efficiency, and compliance — a concerning position for a new school with ambitious goals. From day one, the 21Cobalt team brought a blend of expertise and clarity that immediately began to ease our challenges and elevate our Board's effectiveness. Their insights into governance have helped our board members refine our strategic focus, positioning us as true partners with the Head of School and enabling a shared vision for TAS.

21Cobalt’s training workshops and personalized coaching equipped us with the foundational knowledge we needed in oversight and governance, which was critical to building a sustainable future. Beyond just process and structure, they fostered confidence in our roles and responsibilities, creating a strong, resilient Board capable of making informed, strategic decisions. Today, our Board is not only more cohesive and effective but also deeply aligned with the school’s mission and prepared to lead TAS on a path of growth.

Thanks to 21Cobalt’s partnership, TAS is now on an upward trajectory, both academically and operationally. We are proud of our progress and grateful for the guidance and support that 21Cobalt provided to make it possible. I highly recommend 21Cobalt to any organization seeking to fortify their governance structure and ensure long-term success.

Miles Ahead Charter School

Miles Ahead Charter School would not exist without the expertise and dedication of Gregg Stevens. Gregg coached myself, our Board, and founding leadership team during our planning phase and opening. One of Gregg's many talents is helping school's prioritize needs, master legalese by drafting policies aligned with SBOE and SCSC expectation, and ensuring that schools are meeting their mission. At the beginning and end of every call, Gregg wanted to know "how can I support you" and he never faulted. He is truly an ally to schools, their successes, and ultimately their students. Overall, we feel empowered knowing that Gregg is a supportive, knowledgeable advocate in the Georgia charter school community, and recommend every school build relationships with him early.

Gregg is unmatched! From the moment I began working with Gregg during Excelsior Village Academies’ petition process--from start to finish, he has provided insightful and practical feedback that was instrumental to our school’s state approval. Gregg is responsive patient and professional and I recommend Gregg to anyone looking for great charter school support mechanisms to bolster their school’s development,

When our exploratory committee began considering a charter school for our town, we were blessed to be connected to Gregg.  He was patient and guided us through what can be a very complex process of preparing your petition and laying the groundwork that will make your school a success.  Gregg made countless trips to Braselton to meet with our town council and national CMO/EMO organizations we were considering.  He helped us with model and theme discussions and explained the process we would face with the State Charter School Commission.  Gregg has a unique way of explaining the relationship your school will have with the SCSC and GADoE.  Gregg's vast experience in the charter world is evident in his rational and soft handed approach to charter education.  He surrounds himself with strong and knowledgeable charter school advocates.  His resources are boundless.
